Kick-Off BBQ

About 26 showed up for the kick-off bbq for fun, fellowship and food! An awesome turn out! Thank you to all that showed up to make it a success and just a fun time together.
We started of with Food! Thanks to Don Brukner for the wonderfully barbecued hot dogs and toasted buns and all the parents who contributed with side dishes as well.
After we ate, we headed over and Pastor Roger had a couple "ice breaker" games. Starting out with a marshmallow toss. Who knew it could be so hard! Congrats to Arron and Bailey who won! Then a notorious game of memorization. "Can YOU name every one in the room and their birthday?" Jordan and Jay struggled through, but only could do names... no one won the green rubber ducky prize...
Time to break into groups to go over the year and have a small devotion. The Jr. youth went upstairs in the youth room and the Sr. youth went over to the other youth room in the church building. Then came back together again for a very intense game of wiffle ball. Youth against adults, where the youth kicked our adult butts! Then time to go home.
I think we all can say we had a good time and got to get to know each other more in a time of fellowship in Christ. Looking forward to an awesome year together!
